Rev. Nick Ozuna Completes Internship at Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater
On January 16th a ceremony was held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Clearwater during its Sunday Service, recognizing the completion of the internship program of Rev. Nick Ozuna. He served as an intern minister for one and a half years, while also starting Dharma Center of Tampa Bay, located in the UU Clearwater campus.
This marked the very first collaborative internship effort between Rissho Kosei-kai and the Unitarian Universalist Assocation. Senior minister and mentor, Rev. Abhi Janamanchi, presided over the ceremony and Terry Stapleton, president of the board of directors, offered Rev. Nick a certificate of completion.
He was also offered a specially designed ministerial stole with the Kosei insignia and lotus flowers stitched within it. It represents the unity of UU and RK traditions merging as one.
Rev. Kotaro Suzuki of Rissho Kosei-kai International and Rev. Shoko Mizutani of RKINA were in attendance on this joyous occasion and offered words of appreciation.
