Rissho Kosei-kai Memorial Day Celebration
Rissho Kosei-kai members gathered on a beautiful Sunday morning, March 6th, at the Los Angeles Buddhist Center to celebrate the anniversary of Rissho Kosei-kai's Founding. Founder Niwano established the organization in Tokyo on March 5, 1938. The memorial day ceremony began with a flower offering, chanting, singing, and a video of the history of Rissho Kosei-kai in the U.S.. This was followed by testimony and a Dharma talk by Rev. Takashi Kodaka.
More than 50 members participated in the service, which was held in both English and Japanese. Lunch and time for fellowship followed after the service.
